A vibrant and highly engaging series of compilation testimonial videos edited for CampusReel, a premier digital platform that helps universities showcase authentic student life through mobile video.
The primary goal of this campaign was to take raw, honest student perspectives and transform them into high-energy, relatable marketing assets that prospective students actually want to watch, significantly boosting recruitment engagement for partner universities.
My Role: Video Editor
I was brought on to orchestrate an extensive library of raw, unscripted user-generated content (UGC)—ranging from student-captured smartphone diaries to campus photography—and distill it into cohesive, fast-paced narrative compilations.
Key technical and creative responsibilities included:
- UGC Narrative Pacing & Storytelling: Sifting through hundreds of fragmented, multi-source student video clips to extract the most compelling, authentic soundbites detailing campus culture, academics, and student life.
- Multi-Format Asset Integration: Seamlessly blending varying video formats, aspect ratios, frame rates, and mobile resolutions into a unified, broadcast-ready 1080p timeline.
- Dynamic Visual Engagement: Layering student-captured images, text animations, and quick-cut B-roll to preserve the organic, “peer-to-peer” feel of user-generated content while maintaining a premium editorial standard.
- Audio & Continuity Polishing: Equalizing and leveling varied smartphone and webcam audio tracks, removing background noise anomalies, and implementing energetic transitions to keep viewers locked in.
The Results
The final deliverables successfully elevated raw student footage into polished, high-impact conversion tools. By balancing the authentic, trusted voice of real students with slick, professional pacing, these compilation videos serve as high-utility assets for university admissions teams looking to capture the attention of the next generation of applicants.
